Strategies For ‘Winning’ Your Home

In today’s market homes often sell quickly and are given multiple offers. Some homes referred to as pocket listings will sell before even hitting the open market and it can be a bidding war for competitive buyers who will go to great lengths to earn the house.

One strategy is to let the seller know that you will do whatever it takes to buy the house. Let the homeowner know that you will match the top offer and additionally offer an extra an extra 10% on top of that.

Another option is to track down the house’s buyer and offer to buy the house from them. If you decide to go this route make sure to offer an extra 3% to offer to cover all closing costs and as an additional incentive to the buyer.

The third and last option is to track down the new homeowner and request to purchase the house directly from them. This is a worst-case incentive as your offer will have to be incredibly higher than their purchase price in order to get them to move however it just might motivate them and is worth a try.
